Royal Imtech has received orders worth EUR68m to expand, improve and upgrade technical solutions that include improving energy efficiency for various German car and truck manufacturers.

The German automakers which awarded the orders to Royal Imtech include Audi, Daimler, Volkswagen and MAN.

As per the Daimler order, Imtech will deploy the entire technical infrastructure to extensd a production line in Bremen with technical infrastructure solutions.

Under Audi order, Imtech will carry out the entire technical infrastructure in a new body shop hall in Ingolstadt.

Imtech will also implement a high-tech cooling tower commissioned by Volkswagen in Slovakia and as per MAN order, the company will realize a turbine test facility.

Royal Imtech CEO Rene van der Bruggen said that the automotive industry is and will remain an important 'engine' for the German economy.

"Imtech here occupies a strong position as a technology partner and is actively involved with the design and implementation of advanced technical infrastructure solutions," van der Bruggen said.
